Lactic acid bacteria, commonly referred to as “the good” bacteria, are a type of microorganism that convert sugars into lactic acid (a good thing) throughout their lifecycle. These bacteria are present in the human intestinal microflora and are primarily known for their contribution to maintaining a healthy balance of intestinal bacteria.
Lactic acid bacteria form communities of beneficial bacteria in the body, inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria and helping to maintain overall bodily balance. They aid in digestion, boost the immune system, and possess anti-inflammatory properties.
We use clinically proven patented probiotic lactic acid bacteria called TENSIA, developed in cooperation with Tartu University and Biotechnology Competence Center (BioCC). In addition to other health benefits of lactic acid bacteria (aid in digestion, boost the immune system, anti-inflammatory properties etc), probiotic TENSIA culture has also been proven to have very good antimicrobial and blood-lowering properties.

3. Natural Ingredients: Raw Edge utilizes natural carrot and/or beetroot juice as its raw material, harnessing their inherent beneficial properties. Unlike kombucha, we do not contain caffeine. Instead, our natural sources of energy come from organic acids, vitamins, and antioxidants, providing an alternative to the caffeine commonly found in kombuchas, which are typically based on tea and sugar.
Yes. We’ve seen the bacteria name “lactic acid bacteria” often resonates with milk products and thus understandably raises the question whether Raw Edge is lactose free.
We don’t use any milk or milk products. Raw Edge is plant-based, as we use vegetable juices for lactic acid bacteria fermentation. So you are safe to drink it when you prefer to stay lactose free.
